Register now for 11th Annual MSLA
The 11th Annual PHTS Medical Staff Leadership Advance - A Wave of Healthcare Change Approaches: Are We Ready to Surf or Flee the Beach? is scheduled for February 10 & 11, 2012 at Charleston Place in Charleston, co-sponsored by SCHA and Health Sciences South Carolina and in collaboration with SCHA-SCMA Senior Medical Leadership Council and the South Carolina Association of Medical Staff Services. PHTS’s 2012 program for medical staff leaders and other interested physicians promises to be the best ever.

As in the past, so today, the medical staff remains the single most-critical factor in the success of a healthcare organization. It will be the medical staff that will determine whether healthcare organizations are submerged under the waves of change or find new buoyancy. This Advance will provide both experienced and new physician leaders an opportunity to network and to enhance their skills. Content will range from discussions of healthcare reform and the physician’s role in this process, to how to simplify FPPE and OPPE and manage credentialing and physician performance problems, to reducing practitioner and institutional liability. Updates will also be shared regarding the Joint Commission’s National Patient Safety Goals and Safe Surgery 2015: South Carolina, along with presentations focusing on the lessons to be learned from visionary Apple CEO Steve Jobs and how to implement these at your own organization. The Advance will conclude with a valuable session on how to develop a twelve-month work plan.

Join us as we explore issues of common interest to medical staff and healthcare executives. Please consider registering a team including VPMAs and CMOs, physician leaders of the Medical Staff (officers and department chairs), employed physician directors, and those in the organization who assist the above, along with board members and the C-Suite.
