Community Involvement


PHTS’s philanthropic efforts in our community span a wide variety of organizations, from health to the arts. In 2010, PHTS’s Community Spirit Team activities included:

  • Donor Level Sponsor ($1,000) of JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes – Company and associates raised more than $7,561 to support Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
  • Associates pledged $4,666.10 in support of United Way of the Midlands during annual Workplace Giving Campaign – Company was recognized as a “Pacesetter Organization”
  • Company supported the Cultural Council of Richland and Lexington Counties with a corporate donation of $500, and associates pledged $2,501.16 during annual Workplace Giving Campaign
  • Contributed $750 to Oliver Gospel Mission and $500 to Sistercare in lieu of our sending Holiday greeting cards to clients and others
  • Conducted two supply drives which collected $2,400 in goods to benefit Oliver Gospel Mission, Sistercare, and LRADAC
  • Supported Sistercare's "Songbird Cafe" fundraiser with a $250 donation
  • Conducted two blood drives in the office which collected 81 units of blood for the American Red Cross
  • Co-sponsored the SC Philharmonic’s performance, "Beethoven in Blue Jeans"
  • Sponsored Workshop Theatre Preview Night Performance of “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” (for clients, associates, and guests)
  • Sponsored Columbia City Jazz Dance Company’s “A Gift of Love” show and Holiday Performance, “The Two Claras,” along with an additional $250 performance donation
  • Associates participated in the Columbia City Jazz Dance Company's "Jazz Shoe Sponsorship," raising funds to cover the cost of dance shoes for two dancers
  • By partnering with Columbia City Jazz, raised $110 to benefit Sistercare
