PHTS’s philanthropic efforts in our community span a wide variety of organizations, from health to the arts. In 2009, PHTS’s Community Spirit Team activities included:

• Bronze Sponsor ($1,000) of JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes – Company and associates raised an additional $7,000 to support Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
• Supported Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation with $500 sponsorship of 2009 Wings of Love Gala
• Associates pledged $4,008.10 in support of United Way of the Midlands during annual Workplace Giving Campaign – Company was recognized as a “Pacesetter Organization”
• Company supported the Cultural Council of Richland and Lexington Counties with a corporate donation of $500, and associates pledged $2,551.30 during annual Workplace Giving Campaign
• Contributed $500 each to Oliver Gospel Mission and Sistercare in lieu of our sending Holiday greeting cards to clients and others
• Conducted two supply drives which collected $3,330 in goods to benefit Oliver Gospel Mission, Sistercare, LRADAC, and the Essie Mae Washington-Williams Institute
• Conducted two blood drives in the office which collected 106 units of blood for the American Red Cross
• Served as Presenting Sponsor for SC Philharmonic’s Painted Violins Fundraiser, and sponsored a Guest Artist during 2008-2009 concert season
• Sponsored Workshop Theatre Preview Night Performance of “The Producers” (for clients, associates, and guests)
• Sponsored Columbia City Jazz Dance Company’s “Broadway Bound” show and Holiday Performance, “The Two Claras”
